I’m rembering being 16 today. Eating rice cakes in an ad-hoc fort made of study hall carrels reserved for speech students (the best peoples in the world, BTW) and listening to a home-made mix of alt-rock my upperclassmen mentors passed on via my GPX walkman knock-off cassette player - my one refuge from the jeers and leers of the jocks, redneck farmboys, and popular kids.
